Surprise Appearance: Hatsune Miku

Miku’s appearance at AFAX was indeed surprising, i hadnt expected her to appear as it wasnt scheduled.
Though it was a short 3 songs, it was most welcome by the crowd

Best Sense of Humor : Ichirou ‘Aniki’ Mizuki

Aniki’s session was the most relaxed, maybe due to the action packed performance by JAM project,
He still managed to inject some humour into the show with his jokes!

Most Unexpected Enjoyment : Angela

To be honest, i hadnt heard much of Angela prior to AFAX, was wishing some band like Girls Dead Monster
to come instead. However, i was given a really pleasant surprise, and the duo really did their best to engage
the crowd. Really love Katsu Onii Sama with his ‘Moesu” antics.

Most Karaoke Friendly Song: Shunkan Sentimental

The one song that most of the crowd knew how to sing, need i explain more for the success of FMA: Brotherhood?

Best Representative Anisong : Mazinger Z

Tell me, is there any other song that fully symbolises the legend of anisongs? Performed by Aniki, this is the
epitome of all anisongs!

Most Heartfelt: Diamond Crevasse

In truth, the only ballad performed. So good that there is no competition for this one.

Most Energetic: SCANDAL

Scandal brings their school girlish youthfulness to AFAX, and no one is complaining, certainly not the hundreds of scandal fanboys out there.

Most powerhouse lineup: JAM Project

Jam project’s Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endo, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui & Yoshiki Fukuyama are the kings of anisongs. They were
so good that they are the only band that no one, not a single one that i can see sat down even for 1 minute during their show. Their performance
was so solid that the following show from aniki was much more tamed down.

AFAX’s Favourite : May’n

Everyone was pumping throughout her performance. She showed her versality by being the only singer who
danced, brought in her own dance crew(the only performer who had), Choreographed movements, professionalism
makes her the one and truly crowd favourite!

Worst Of show: The Audio System

It was so bad, that we all almost became deaf. Even May’n's vocals could not totally overwhelm the awful 3rd generation
speakers!

Oops, i slipped up moments: Emcee Yoshimi

Yeah, we appreciate her translations, but i still think we should hire a real pro to do translations for the artistes, not blaming her
just that we need more composure on stage. Good job still!

AFAX’s Defining moments: Aniki’s 3 encores, May’n singing Phonic Nation

I guess i do not need to elaborate on this one. Aniki is a legend, while phonic nation is the one song that
emphasizes the “music bring us together” theme!

Now, the man saw an ending no more fitting, though in a dream.

It puts a conclusion to all the missing answers perhaps he would never wanted to know.

In army lingo, they call it ORD.

Many people around me have already more or less decide their career/study paths, while im still very much clueless about mine.

Mum has been wanting me to go to university to further my studies, puts a lot of expectations on me since apparently my brother cant quite commit to studying.

Actually, i do want to further my studies. Be it architecture, interior or specialised fields such as exhibition design, retail.. etc.

For me, a huge turning point in my life came when my mum dropped a massive bombshell on me.

Half a year ago, she told me my dad could at most live up to 5-6 years from now.

With that, i told myself to commit to working once im out of army and earn a steady income to support myself and also to chip into the family.

One may think its a forced decision that is a result of an impact that will change my life.

In life, not everything will go your way, there are pitfalls here and there. It is however, up to you to choose whether you get out of that endless loop of self pity and start grinding out new paths or to remain content in what you are having now.

Of course, i will regret that i will not be able to study overseas, meet new people, attend varsity life..

But, in my new path that i have chosen, and not given to me, i will set new objectives.

I can still continue to meet new people, learn new things, have good ambitions and dreams.

Nothing has changed, it is just the approach and direction that has been altered.

In the end, the end result will all be the same.

No matter what people say
No matter what they think
you are who you are.

Pretty fun reminiscing about the past, and discovering some shocking truths.

Learnt something new about the old me.

In my thoughts, ” did i ever do that? “

I can be said to have a very short and selective memory.

I cannot remember most of the things that happen while others can.

It is good in a sense that, i get to start anew and change as time goes by.

It is bad as i forget how i used to be, how i do things then, and how things have changed.

things like helping out the elderly, writing email to solve conflicts, getting respected may never be remembered by me again.

but im glad it still lives on in a part of everyone’s lives.

im grateful for the fact that i am still remembered for how i was, and keep me sane for what i am going to do in the future.

with this post, i wish that i will still be the person i was in the past, and move to a brighter future with the new me.

i covered part 1 of the India trip quite some time ago and thought it is only logical to deliver the rest of it and ge tit over and done with.

Macs : everywhere in the world, agra too!

Since i already covered the food and lodging in my last part, i shall just go straight to the tour of Agra, nothing much actually, since we are  on the bus like 24/7.

After having missed out on Agra Fort on the first day, our group violently protested (ok that was very exaggerated.) and we got to go there the next day,  very early in the morning too.

Im glad we did, and i do feel guilty since im one of those who was a bit lazy about going there cause i slept very late the previous night.

Agra fort is fabulous, just words alone cant sum up its magnificence (is there such a word?) My pictures do not do it justice but anyway take a break and let those pictures guide you through.

Wild monkey(s), loads of them in the fort. In Singapore, we sometimes see these in forested areas. What about your country? I do know in Thailand, monkeys are everywhere in a certain area like zombies! (got attacked by one before)

one thing i like about India is the weather at night. not too chilling, but isnt humid at all. a comfortable temperature to sleep and to take a nice evening stroll.

As we look through these pictures, you would realise Indians take pride in what they do, and that is why their craftmanship is so good, even in the past.

India also has its ugly sight. poverty is evident in India even for its cities like Agra. Maybe its a double edge, to sacrfice economical stability and technology advancement for the rustic calmness in return. Which do you prefer? high tech stuff or tranquil peace?

Details galore. Since we went in the morning, we had a good dreamy view of the Taj from Agra fort.

Next, the Taj Mahal, one of the wonders of the world, and the prized national treasure of India.

It is not that im unhappy about how this weblog is progressing,

but i want to maximise the usage of it.

Instead of just posting and talking to myself,

im gonna use this blog to publish my works too.

By works i would mean drawing, sketches, 3d… etc.

I have big plans inside my mind, but everything is just fuzzy right now.

Let me get the details right, then i will announce on this site.

Some of the plans i have for this site are,

a tool to help me network with other designers, other otakus, other people who share the same interests as me.

an online portfolio where i can show it to the industry people in the future.

a place where interaction can take place, where activities are organised.

i would be closely working with my facebook and flikr to bring about changes.

of course right now, the number of people reading are few and countable, but if i can, i would make it a more reachable blog to read.

some of the next articles i will be posting would be either ;

• the rebirth project
• plans for my modulus phase 2 project

Some of you guys must be wondering, why now?

I believe now is the best time to kickstart my career in the future.

I believe the period after National Service would be spent rediscovering my skills, learning new stuff, and getting a job.

I have also planned something big in my mind, but am afraid i cant carry it out.

Shall announce when i feel im ready for it.
